The author reports the childcare activities concerned with nature for children from 2 years old to 6 years old in nursery schools and proposals from nursery centers to the professional training college on the basis of the questionnaire answered by childcare centers in Nara Prefecture(the collection rate of data was 42.8% in 215 childcare centers in 2004). Furthermore, I report the education for naturalenvironmrnt in the professional training college with the aim of contributing to regional child-rearing environment The investigation indicated that a walk and a flower play were routinely taken for nature activities of younger ages, and nature activities such as breeding, cultivation, production, observation and recording were taken for older ages according to seasonal changes in childcare centers. The investigation in childcare centers also indicated that nursery school teachers should flexibly act in the outdoor and keep positive interests to nature.
